In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Breakfast is the headline. — Guests call it excellent, substantial and at times the best part of the stay, with the buffet singled out again and again. Dining is the hotel's top-rated category.
  • Service feels personal. — From maps and bus guides to general Rome advice, guests describe staff as friendly, helpful and glad to assist. The family-run character comes through in the reviews.
  • A quiet, practical base. — The residential setting keeps noise down, and the nearby bus stops connect you to central Rome and the train station.
  • Price is a real draw. — Rooms start at £29, and guests sometimes say the room was more than expected for the money.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms are the lower point. — Rooms and cleanliness is the lowest rating at 7/10, so expect solid, straightforward 3-star comfort rather than design-led extras.
  • The location is quiet, not central. — You're outside the historic core, which is exactly why it's peaceful. Most sightseeing starts with a bus ride, and reviews note getting familiar with the local stops.
  • Check-in finishes at 23:59. — If you're arriving very late, the 14:00–23:59 check-in window needs to be factored in.
  • Airport shuttle is paid. — The hotel can arrange transfers, but the shuttle is listed as a paid service, and parking is simply noted as available without confirmation that it's free.

“A decent small hotel. The service was perfect, even though a couple of staff members were impolite. We booked a twin room with central heating, its own safe and a flat-screen TV. The location was hard to beat for Rome, right next to bus stops and convenient for central Rome and the train station. A large square was about 2 miles away.”

8.3Verified guest

“The location, in a nice quiet area of Rome, felt ideal. Our room had a comfortable bed, central heating, a safe box and a television.”

8.3Verified guest

“Staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond. The small balcony was a nice touch, and the hotel was conveniently close to a bus stop. Breakfast had a good range of options, especially the yoghurts and cereals.”

8.3Verified guest

“The room was neat and inviting, and the free Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was genuinely amazing, and the overall service was great. We found the staff nice.”

8.3Verified guest

“The room was perfect and relaxing, with a beautiful view, all the furniture we needed and balconies. The place felt elegant. The location was great too, close to restaurants, away from the central tourist traps and not far from the Colosseum.”

8.3Verified guest

“Great, friendly staff. On arrival they gave us all the tourist information we needed — bus guides, maps and more. The buffet breakfast was extensive. The meat wasn't halal, but there were plenty of other options: breads, eggs, cereals and pastries. The rooms were clean and not too small.”
